Cycle World partnership fuels future
![]() |
The Ride for Kids® program establishes the link between the motorcycling community and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF). That link is strengthened by the phenomenal support of Cycle World magazine through its annual Joseph C. Parkhurst Education Fund Silent Auction and International Motorcycle Shows.

| The Parkhurst Auction is named for Cycle World's founder, Joe Parkhurst, a great believer in the importance of education. |
Silent Auction
The Parkhurst Silent Auction attracts hundreds of bidders for rare, collectible motorcycle memorabilia each year at the Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo. Auction donations fund opportunities for the young heroes who have survived their life-and-death struggle with brain tumors.
Generous auction donors and bidders have contributed more than $193,000 in scholarship assistance for brain tumor patients since the program began in 2002. To donate an item for the 2009 next auction, please click here.
International Motorcycle Shows
The Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows have showcased the Ride for Kids® motorcycle drawing program since 2000. It has raised more than $345,000 for the PBTF's medical research and family support programs to date.
Each year this wildly popular drawing has featured a different bike, including celebrity replicas, lovingly restored antiques, and a Honda 919 Street Fighter modified by custom bike builder Roland Sands. Sands is back on board as the designer of this season's bike, a Honda CBR1000RR dubbed "Project ConqueRR." Learn more...
Rally round the kids!
"It is our hope that in addition to raising much-needed funds, the auction and motorcycle drawing will continue to help get the word out and rally the motorcycle industry in the battle against this horrific disease," says Larry Little, Cycle World Vice President and Publisher.
