Ways to reduce stress and anxiety

There are a lot of ways to reduce stress and anxiety, many of which are free or cost very little. See if any of these might work for you:

  • Get a massage
  • Listen to music
  • Write in a journal
  • Listen to a relaxation CD
  • Find a hobby that interests you
  • Learn to play a musical instrument
  • Do yoga or any other exercise you enjoy
  • Try to eat well to help nourish your body and give it what it needs to heal
  • Volunteer for a cause that interests you
  • Talk to a friend or someone you trust
  • Try counseling or a support group
  • Meditate (Make the time and space to be still and quiet. Clear your mind of thoughts. Breathe deeply and slowly.)
