PBTF Scholarship Program
Scholarships offer more than financial assistance. They also acknowledge the unique accomplishments of brain tumor survivors. The PBTF is proud to offer a scholarship program to students who have survived a central nervous system tumor. Awards may be used to cover tuition, fees and books at any accredited post-secondary institution, including technical schools, vocational schools, junior colleges and four-year colleges or universities. (At this time, our scholarship awards are not available to graduate students.)
Eligibility criteria
Students must meet the following criteria to apply for a PBTF scholarship:
- Diagnosed at or before age 19 with a primary malignant or non-malignant central nervous system brain and/or spinal cord tumor
- At least a senior in high school
- 23 years old or younger on or before Aug. 31, 2010
- Not in graduate school
- All TTGF Scholarship awardees prior to 2008-2009 must meet all criteria above.
Notice for Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation (TTGF) scholarship recipients (TTGF Legacy Recipients)
The PBTF will consider you for a scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year if you meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Received a TTGF scholarship for the 2008-09 academic year
- Survivor of a pediatric brain tumor
- Received fewer than four TTGF scholarships
- At least a senior in high school
- 23 years old or younger on or before Aug. 31, 2010
How to apply
Please click here to complete a Scholarship Application Request Form. When we have received it and confirmed that you meet the eligibility criteria, we will send you the full application packet.
The scholarship application deadline is Monday, March 1, 2010. Your completed application must be postmarked by that date. We will announce the 2010 awards in June 2010 and notify all applicants by mail.
