Having a brain tumor has been difficult, but it’s also been beneficial. Although it has been hard for me to adapt, I have learned to take the challenges and to never give up. This adversity has given me the determination and motivation to be the best I am capable of, even with my disabilities. For five year I have gone to physical therapy, to St. Jude’s, and have undergone three brain surgeries. I have gone through middle school and high school being different – like not being able to drive or participate in PE. I walk differently than my peers. All of this has helped me be head strong and motivated me to be successful no matter the challenges.

Brook attends Treasure Valley Community College with the help of a scholarship from the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
